New Mexico has the opportunity and the resources to be one of if not the best State to go to school K through 12 and this system that I present to today is based off of extensive research and designed to not only help the unique issues of New Mexico, but also provide New Mexicans with arguably the best educational system in the world. the whole state would have to adopt this system for every public school. the system is based off of equity culture and accountability. before I go on please keep in mind that the system I’m describing would also meet all federal and state guidelines as as much as possible. as far as equity teachers would get paid more class time would be shorter, but but higher quality students would have a better life balance and would be healthier. The schools would offer hot meals to every student free dental care and free Counseling as well as upgraded healthcare and other aid that would help them focus more on schooling. as far as accountability students who miss or having issues would have special advanced teachers work with them to identify causes, and to help them continue with their studies and succeed in school . The cultural aspect would be where students are taught about the local history and needs of New Mexico as well as areas like agriculture and the different regions throughout New Mexico. The different school systems can have cultural teachings within the schools whether it’s Native American, Spanish or Anglo so that all students and their cultures are accepted and taught within the school system . this system is designed to cut cost making the school system. More efficient provide a host of service services that improve student retention and ability and alleviate any social or health barriers as well as holding students accountable and affirming their cultural beliefs . The ideal of this system is designed not just to pass rigid exams and test, but it’s designed to develop the person in ways to where learning and going to school in riches them above and beyond meeting any type of test and therefore leads them to easily pass the rigid test that are needed.

I feel that if we can embrace this system and develop it even more, it truly would be the greatest system in the world, and it truly would lift New Mexico educational rankings from the bottom to the top.
