The right to bear arm's was ment for the people to defend against the military of a corrupt government that is abusing its power,just like how we revolted against Britain during the revolution,we had to build rag tag militias with little to no weapons,the 2nd amendment ensures the safety of the people from a rouge corporate or oligarch influenced government, its not ment just for the army because of course the army has the right to bear arms,they are the most powerful force in our country,asurredly the senate or the president don't have weapons to attack the army,but they are the leadership of the army,and if they go against the people and try to turn America into a dictatorship our 2nd amendment allows us the ability to defend ourselves and finally technology may change but the ideas and concepts don't,during the times of our founding fathers the musket was the weapon of the day and everyone had access; today the machine gun is an advanced weapon and everyone has access,America is strong because we have the weapons to defend ourselves.The world isn't a perfect utopia and not everyone has the best intentions but our country would become a weak target for so many if our second amendment was altered or taken away,things would be worse! Accept and fight for gun rights at all cost!And work to add greater security at all schools!
